An Important message from David Guenther

As you are aware, over the last two months the club has been struggling to generate enough money to stay open. Since the first month Prodigy has been open, I personally have been supplementing the monthly shortcomings of the club. It has now come to the point that I can no longer afford to keep the club open. Although for the month of December the club did cover its operating costs, I cannot afford to continue to operate the club. Shaun and I have been volunteering our time for this past year attempting to make Prodigy profitable.  Neither myself or Shaun have been paid (at all) during the operation of the club.  All funds collected went into keeping the club open.  I apologize that I could not make Prodigy profitable enough to avoid this outcome.

I understand that this is not good news and I realize the impact that this decision makes on you (the member). I don’t like it either. I have stressed over this decision for months. I have thought of many scenarios and all the possibilities and I have always come to this conclusion; my number one responsibly is to my family. Right now I have to step back and take care of them. I don’t ask you to understand or be happy with this decision. I do ask you to respect it. I have enjoyed training /teaching everyone at the club. It is my hope that every Prodigy member will continue to train, whether it’s for fitness or for competing.

As of Jan. 31 I will no longer be running classes, and if I cannot find someone to purchase the club by the end of Jan. Prodigy MMA will be closed as of Jan. 31 as well.

Thank you for being a member and a part of Prodigy MMA .

Sincerely,

David Guenther

Edit:  There is interest from some members to keep the club running after Jan. 31.  So if you still want to train, show your support by coming out to the club this month.

Important News
November 24th, 2009

Hello Everyone,

If you are a current member of Prodigy you should already be aware of the financial difficulties we are having mainly due to the lack of "regular" paying members.  Thus we have to increase membership fee's beginning December.  We will only be offering one "All Access" rate which will now be $40 a month.  Everyone will be asked to pay this amount and you will have access to all the classes.  This fee is still well below all other clubs around the area.  Up to this point the club has not broken even on a month to month basis and it can no long function at its current state.  So if you have been meaning to come out but haven't yet I strongly recommend you try and make it out soon.  We'll offer the rest of November free for anyone who would like to check out the classes.

Also due to the low attendance of the Muay Thai Classes on Monday and Wednesday they have been cancelled.  We are currently looking at offering something else during this time.
